Mahto Group has had an associated with the Indian Army even before its inception, through the paternal lineage of its founder. Our beginnings were inspired for their valor and our work takes after a similar mission to honor and bolster our national pride. It was some years ago that we were inspired by an idea, of the Superintendent of BSF, Sir Vijay Singh, who thought of designing a trike which could carry ammunition. He could perceive, how such a device would prove useful in carrying covert operations while simultaneously allowing the soldier to ride and fire. It was this idea and his trust in our expertise, which ignited in us a commitment, to design a state of the art, combat trike dedicated to honour our Defence forces.
Elaborating on the challenges, the LOCs along some bordering territories are areas of difficult topographies. These terrains are scalped with harsh climates, steep slopes and isolation. Defence operations in these areas require units to move swiftly, activity and safely but more often than not, to implement such a combination of stealth becomes harder than it should be. We reassert that our country has taken immense measures to strengthen not just the acuity of forces but also the quality of services that the government reciprocates with. Companies like Royal Enfield became the biggest suppliers of motorbikes to the Indian army. In the Himalayan regions, these bikes saw higher deployment due to their celebrated torque performance at low rpms. But these bikes are also associated with loud noise having its own set of strategic disadvantages.
At Mahto Group we have always worked to hit the problems at the bull’s eye. So we took time to understand the challenges and maneuvered to design a trike which is set to revolutionize the way troops move around in such challenging areas. The word trike stems from ‘tri’ meaning three and kyklos meaning wheel.Thus a trike is a three-wheeled cycle which advances a two wheeler in a way that it provides inherent stability and more safety. Tricycles were earlier infamous for their inability to make sharp turns but this trike dawns on its ability to bend for a faster cornering. The alteration and bending of two front wheels and one rear wheel is the reason why such agility becomes effortless for the trike. The support from bigger wheels provide increased grip, higher maximum speeds with better control, refined crossing over obstacles and better performance on slopes.
All in all, the Trike is an electrically powered device which boasts of its balancing superiority, swift-silent movement and a ‘built to last’ design. Returning to the grounds of its need, this trike is an all weather, combat tricycle, which is designed to enable ferocity while on the move.It is designed to scale steep slopes effortlessly and silently. It is stably mounted with a Light Machine Gun, ensuring fortification for the soldier, conducting assigned operations. Its designed to provide storage for carrying additional ammunition, while balancing the load of the rider and ensuring stability. This device, combines all the features to transform itself into a a silent killer.
We also believe in bringing the trike revolution as above all it is environmental friendly. Himalayan regions are ecologically fragile and are required to be protected against pollution and destruction. To trace, transportation is one of the leading causes of pollution in the Himalayas. Thus, Trike is a device that is designed to solve all these problems with its utility towards sustainability. Its showdown on the roads emits zero carbon emissions and creates its way without disturbing the surrounding environment. Our trike suspends noise production and the relocated engine at the rear adds to a smooth drive by furthering noise reduction. Modelling of the structure is also done to avoid potential hazards of accidents, This includes by balancing viability, a powerful braking system, a strong-durable structure and a safety-restricted speed range.
