Mahto Foundation is an entity as announced in 2019, gives grants to organizations, institutions, and individuals for charitable purposes including but not limited to science, education and innovation. The foundation establishes on the grounds of furthering innovation, uniqueness, inventions, creativity and hard work. The Foundation’s name and its work shall exemplify the respect that should be accorded to our common brotherhood. We are witnessing pressing issues from almost all fronts in the present world. A deteriorating planet, a polluted home, changing climate, warming oceans, disharmony, geopolitical tensions, the decade is seeing it all. Standing up for the present and pledging to stand in longevity, Mahto foundation is a believer of a better tomorrow. Through time, effort, resources and honor.

Free emergency services

The rescue services modus operandi will involve deployment for disaster / accident and medical emergencies. The access to these will be free of any costs and will be structured based on the population ratios and their respective needs.

The COVID-19 pandemic alarmed the human systems of unpreparedness. It warned us of how a single event, a force majeure can affect so many lives, killing bodies and souls, leaving a grave picture of illness and mortality to witness. The rescue services will be deployed to serve the citizens of the country in cases of emergency.

The heavy load on hospital infrastructure and staff, is a grave concern for the government as well as for the people. Taking the case study of India’s fastest metropolitan, Mumbai, Approximately 2,000 ambulances operate in and around the city and during government inspection most of these ambulances were found to be violating safety standards. According to a report published by Times of India about 146,133 people were killed in road accidents in India in the year 2016. Unfortunately about 30% of deaths are caused due to delayed ambulance. Another Indian government data shows .. more than 50% of heart attack cases reach hospital late , which can constitute unavailability of ambulances too but majority of it is due to patients stuck in traffic. The free emergency services will ensure, no life ever has to die on the road ever again. The rescue services equipped with vitals and designed to ensure patient safety, will bring a futuristic and a state-of-the-art functional technology for the patients in need of instant mobility.

A funded rescue services by the foundation shall significantly cut down the operational cost both for the government and the person in rescue.

Educational grants

The future belongs to the one who holds the potential to craft it. The foundation, a staunch professor of this ideology, pledges to celebrate the innovative minds of the time.

The scholarship that is currently in portfolio is for kins of security forces

The scholarships will be implemented to encourage education and skills for the kins of the servicemen ; widows and wards of the deceased/ex-service personnel of Armed Forces. The scholarship will help to further educational pursuit and employable skills in the families of security forces.

The founder, drawing from a line of army veterans, understands the challenges that the army personnel along with their families undergo. Speaking of children, on an average, most military children will move between six and nine times before they graduate high school and not every system they enter is prepared with the understanding of the challenges these students face.

The foundation will work to make a concerted effort to support an educational system that progressively builds the college and career readiness of these students. As s system building to serve these resilient students, we must aim to support them in ways that maximize their potential while helping them to excel not just academically, but also socially, emotionally and physically. The educational grants will help bring in the change and establish resources that these hidden support structures of the Indian army well deserve.
